The Stamps of Life Birthday Kit – 13 Cards 1 Kit

The Stamps of Life Birthday Kit - 13 Cards 1 Kit Birthday cards are the cards that I make the most of so I was so excited when I found out that The Stamps of Life was releasing a Birthday Kit.   This kit includes the Brights Everyday Collection paper pad with a color scheme of Kiwi, Green Apple, Sunshine, Blueberry, Ocean, and Poppy. Poppy is the newest color at The Stamps of Life. The kit will also include a large Poppy ink pad and refill, felt border stickers, a sprinkles stencil, a stamp set with a fun birthday party scene, matching dies, and a large sheet of die cuts that include cupcakes, birthday hats, balloons, and presents. I’m excited to share with you all of the fun cards and tags that I created with this kit. I created a total of 13 projects — 11 cards and 2 tags. Hello!

Today I’m featuring a card that I made using the Words2LiveBy stamp set from The Stamps of Life. This stamp set have several inspirational phrases that can be used on a card or for bible journaling.  The font is large and the letters can be colored in with markers or colored pencils. For my card, I watercolored the letters using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a water pen. Check out my YouTube video to see how I made this card. All supplies are listed below.

Love Heart Fold-It

On my blog today is another Valentine’s Day card using The Stamps of Life products. I made this card using the Sizzix Scallop Heart Fold-it and cranberry card stock. First, I die cut the heart fold-it card base. Next, I die cut the large solid heart (the one that shows as the watercolored background) using the Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Smooth Paper Pad and then used Spectrum Sparkle pens (Moonstone, Cosmos, and Rose Quartz) to watercolor the background using the same watercoloring technique that I used in my Love Heart Card. I cut the top layering piece of the heart out of the same cranberry card stock that I used for the card base. Before die cutting. I put double sided adhesive on the back of the card stock before running it through the die cut machine. This helped tremendously when adhering the piece to the front of the card.

To create the love sentiment, I used the Moonlight Spectrum Sparkle pen to watercolor a piece of the Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and then die cut the word “Love” using the Love Statement Set. I used the same Cranberry card stock for the shadow layer.

Using a yellow ribbon from my stash, I tied a bow on the side of the heart.

For the inside of the card, I used the large solid heart die from the Sizzix Scallop Heart Fold-it to die cut a heart using white card stock and then adhered it to the inside of the card. Using the Onyx Black Versa Fine ink pad, I stamped the sentiment from the Love Statement Set.
