Sending You Lots of Love Shaker Card

Sending You Lots of Love Shaker Card The Stamps of Life

Hello!

Today on my blog I am once again featuring the “Sending You Lots of Love” word die from The Stamps of Life. I decided to make this card into a Valentine’s Day shaker card.

The A2 Circle Background Die Set from The Stamps of Life is a perfect die set to make a shaker card! The background die cut on this card is shown with many tiny small hearts inside of the circles. The tiny hearts were die cut from strawberry cardstock using the triple tiny heart die that comes with the “Sending You Lots of Love” word die. The word die is a sentiment die that comes with a coordinating shadow die, however,  I did not use the shadow die for the sentiment on this card. I simply die cut the sentiment with strawberry cardstock and adhered it directly to the card front.

For a complete tutorial on how to make this card, watch my YouTube video here:

Valentine Truck with Bears

Hello!

Valentine’s Day is only four weeks away and I’m getting a head start on my Valentine’s Day cards.

I am in love with this brand new adorable stamp – LoveBear2Stamp – from The Stamps of Life!  It has so many fun hearts, Valentines, two adorable bears, and of course an old fashioned pick-up truck, my favorite! It has a coordinating die set called Valentine Truck w/Bears.  You can use the die set to die cut several pieces of cardstock and/or patterned paper and then paper pierce them together to form the image. This is great if you don’t like to color — you can simply use your papers to make the die cut. At the bottom of this post is a link to my card tutorial on YouTube.

For my first card, I used the stamp and colored it with Copic markers. The stamp is a large stamp which will fill most of the front of an A2 size card base. Therefore, you really don’t need many other things to add to the card front to decorate it. Just put the stamp on a card, color it in, add a few papers, and your done!

For my second card, I used only the dies. It is shown here on a step-up card base. I also used the mini heart stencil to create my own patterned paper.

LoveBear2Stamp

I also made a third card. This card demonstrates that you can fill the pick-up truck with anything! It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day related. You can simply cut the hearts away and add something else of your choice. For my card, I added Easter eggs!

Sending You Lots of Love

Sending You Lots of Love The Stamps of Life

Getting ready for Valentine’s Day, this card is full of pink and hearts! All products used are The Stamps of Life.

The mini  heart stencil was used to ink blend the background of the card. The color inks used are bubblegum, candy, and guava. The lightest color (bubblegum) is on the bottom, followed by candy, and then guava at the top.

The two hearts were die cut from ink-blended cardstock using the Double Hearts die that Stamps of Life club members received free in December. The ink colors are the same as the background — bubblegum, candy, and guava.

The “Sending You Lots of Love” is a sentiment die that comes with a coordinating shadow die.  The shadow was die cut with guava cardstock and the sentiment was die cut with powdered sugar cardstock. The three hearts attached to the word die were die cut from the same ink-blended cardstock as the larger hearts.

Love Heart Fold-It

heart fold it front finalHello!

On my blog today is another Valentine’s Day card using The Stamps of Life products. I made this card using the Sizzix Scallop Heart Fold-it and cranberry card stock. First, I die cut the heart fold-it card base. Next, I die cut the large solid heart (the one that shows as the watercolored background) using the Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Smooth Paper Pad and then used Spectrum Sparkle pens (Moonstone, Cosmos, and Rose Quartz) to watercolor the background using the same watercoloring technique that I used in my Love Heart Card. I cut the top layering piece of the heart out of the same cranberry card stock that I used for the card base. Before die cutting. I put double sided adhesive on the back of the card stock before running it through the die cut machine. This helped tremendously when adhering the piece to the front of the card.

To create the love sentiment, I used the Moonlight Spectrum Sparkle pen to watercolor a piece of the Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and then die cut the word “Love” using the Love Statement Set. I used the same Cranberry card stock for the shadow layer.

Using a yellow ribbon from my stash, I tied a bow on the side of the heart.

For the inside of the card, I used the large solid heart die from the Sizzix Scallop Heart Fold-it to die cut a heart using white card stock and then adhered it to the inside of the card. Using the Onyx Black Versa Fine ink pad, I stamped the sentiment from the Love Statement Set.

Love Heart Card

Love Card with Heart Final

Hello!

Just in time for Valentine’s Day or just to say “I love you,” this card is so beautiful with its vibrant colors.

First, I die cut the heart shape from the heart die in the Heart Background – Limited Edition die set from The Stamps of Life. I die cut it using Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Smooth Paper Pad.

Step 1

Next, I water colored the heart using Spectrum Sparkle markers. The colors I used were solar red, emerald green, and blue topaz. After I put some color down, I used a paint brush with a small amount of water to spread the color on the heart.

Step 2

Next, I used the center heart die cut and layered it inside of the big heart and die cut it onto white card stock. Before die cutting, I put double-sided adhesive on the opposite side of the card stock. This made it easier to adhere cut piece in the next step.

Step 4

Next, I peeled the heart away from the adhesive and adhered it onto the colored heart.

Using the same water color method as described above, I colored with the solar red Spectrum Sparkle marker onto the Bristol Smooth paper and spread the color onto the paper using a water brush. Next, I die cut the shadow layer of the Love die from the Love Statement Set from The Stamps of Life.

Next, I used the Love word die and die cut using white card stock. Before die cutting, I put double-sided adhesive onto the back of the white card stock which made it easier to adhere to the shadow layer. (Note: In case you are wondering, the shadow layer of the Love die cut in the picture below is a slightly darker pink than the one on the finished card because I actually die cut the Love piece twice to create two identical pieces for two cards. It shows darker here because for this die cut, I applied more ink onto the paper.)

Using Ocean card stock from The Stamps of Life, I cut an A2 size card base. Next, using the Hooray patterned paper pad from The Stamps of Life, I die cut a piece of patterned paper using the large stitched rectangle die.

Step 3

I adhered the stitched rectangle piece of patterned paper to the front of the card base. Next, I adhered the heart on top of the rectangle piece and then I adhered the Love statement to the bottom right corner and ended with a pink bow at the top of the card.

Love Card with Heart Final

For the inside of the card, I die cut a large stitched rectangle from Candy card stock and stamped the sentiment from the Love Statement Set.

Copic, Lawn Fawn, Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day Card using Lawn Fawn’s Sweet Friends Stamp

Valentine Smore Card Horizontal

Hello!

When I saw the Sweet Friends stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I knew that I immediately had to own it. It is the perfect stamp set for any occasion and I thought this would be perfect for a Valentine’s Day card. There are several stamps included in the set, but I chose to use the s’mores stamp for this card.

I stamped the image using Lawn Fawn’s Lawn Fundamentals Jet Black Premium Ink Pad and then colored it with Copic markers. I used the corresponding die cut, Sweet Friends Lawn Cuts, to die cut it. The hearts were stamped using the same ink and die cut as well. The pink paper was from my stash. The white scallop border was die cut from Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Scallop Rectangle Frames using white paper from my stash.

To put this card together, I cut a piece of the rainbow paper from Lawn Fawn’s Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack and adhered it to a card base. Next, I cut a piece of the red paper from the same paper pack and adhered it to the white scallop border. Using foam tape, I adhered it to the card base to add dimension. Next, I adhered the s’more die cut and hearts to the red paper. Finally, I used Lawn Fawn’s Lawn Fundamentals Jet Black Premium Ink Pad to stamp the sentiment onto the front of the card.

Valentine’s Day Card Using Squirrels2Love from The Stamps of Life

squirrels2love_red

Hello! Here’s another Valentine’s Day card that I made using products from The Stamps of Life. I just love their stamps and these cute squirrels are no exception!

I die cut the card base from the Sizzix Regal Stand-Ups Card Die Set using strawberry card stock from The Stamps of Life. Next, I die cut the front panel and bottom panels as shown using the patterned paper from the Sweetheart collection.

Stephanie, the owner of The Stamps of Life, does an awesome job showing us how to put the card base together. (Click here for directions: Sizzix Regal Stand-Ups Card Die Set Instructions)

Using the Squirrels2Love stamp set, I stamped the images using Lawn Fawn’s Premium Jet Black Ink Pad, colored them with Spectrum Noir markers, and then die cut the images using the corresponding die set, Squirrels2Love Dies.

The boy squirrel is holding flowers in his hand, but I decided to cover the flowers with hearts to make it look like heart-shaped balloons for Valentine’s Day. I die cut the hearts from the Jar2Stamp Dies using the same patterned paper from the Sweetheart collection as I used for the layering pieces of the card base. Once the three hearts were die cut, I adhered them on top of the original flowers from die cut stamped image.

The heart border and the “Love You” dies are from the Sizzix Heart Step-Ups Card Die Set. Using the same strawberry card stock as the card base, I die cut the heart border and and the shadow layer for the “Love You” die cut. The pink card stock for the words “Love You” are from the same pink paper as was used for the heart balloon. I do want to add that I put tape adhesive on the card stock before running it through the die cut machine to make it easier to adhere to the card.

Here is the same card using different Valentine’s papers that I had in my stash.

Valentine’s Day Card using Jar2Stamp from The Stamps of Life

Valentines Day Jar Card

Hello! This Valentine’s Day card was really fun to make.

First, I cut out the card base using the Sizzix Card Scallop Drop-ins. The pink card stock was some Recollections card stock that I had in my stash that I purchased at Michaels. I thought it matched nicely with the patterned paper that I put on the front which was from the Make a Wish patterned paper pad from The Stamps of Life.

For the jar, I used the new die called jar2stamp from the February Die Hard Club at The Stamps of Life. I die cut the jar onto white card stock and the shadow layer using the same pink card stock as the card. Next, I adhered the white jar to the pink shadow layer. The lid on the top of the jar was die cut from some silver card stock that I had in my stash and then adhered to the jar.

I cut the solid colored heart pieces onto the green, yellow, and pink paper as shown. The green and yellow paper is from the Hello Friend paper pad from The Stamps of Life. The pink is the same pink card stock as the card base.

I cut the layering “LOVE” pieces from white card stock. I put adhesive on the back of the white card stock before die cutting. This made it much easier to peel off the “LOVE” pieces and adhere them onto the colored hearts.

After the jar was adhered to the front of the card, I used a white ribbon from my stash and tied it to the top of the card.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card.

Valentine Day Jar Pink Inside

I used the rectangle dies from The Stamps of Life to cut a rectangle from white card stock and adhered to the inside of the card. The hearts on the inside of the card were die cut from the Sizzix Card Scallop Drop-ins (the same one used to die cut the card base). The sentiment was stamped with Color Box Candy ink using the icecreamtruck2stamp from The Stamps of Life.

Here is another version of the card using the same products.

The paper used in this card is from the Recollections “Be Mine” collection which I purchased from Michaels. Besides the paper, the only difference to this card is that I didn’t use the “LOVE” die on all of the hearts. Instead, I adhered it to only one heart and then die cut the “You” and adhered it to the front of the card. The “You” die cut is from the Sizzix Heart Step-ups Card Die Set from The Stamps of Life.

Here is the inside of the card.
