Guitar Cards

Today on my blog I am sharing some cards that I made using the guitar dies from The Stamps of Life. These dies go along with the stamp set, Guitars2Play, which was previously released. The stamps did not have dies, so now they do! For my cards, I did some paper piecing to create the guitars.

For my first card, I also used some circle dies to create a record as a die cut image on the card. I just love how it turned out with the two guitar die cuts added to the card.

For my second card, I created a shaker card using the guitar dies and the dotted star dies.

UPDATE: The small “You Rock” word die used on these cards is not available in the guitar die set. It came with my design team shipment, but The Stamps of Life decided to not include it in the final packaging. Another option is the large “You Rock” word die. Here’s a link – https://thestampsoflife.com/you-rock-dies.html

Scallop Mermaid Box - Beach Theme

Scallop Mermaid Box

Today on my blog I am sharing a box die from The Stamps of Life. It’s called the Scallop Mermaid Box.  It can be used for just about any occasion — a favor box for a wedding or baby shower, just to say “thank you,” or to give someone a gift “just because” you are thinking about them. The box measures 1 3/4 inches x 3 1/2 inches and can fit candy, gum, Chapstick, money, or a small trinket.

The die set comes with the large die to make the box. It also comes with layering pieces for the top and sides of the box. It comes with a beautiful scallop background as well as a background full of hearts. You can use the dies in the set to make a beautiful box or incorporate your own stamps/dies to make it any theme of your choosing.

Mushroom Shadow Box Card

There are some new releases over at The Stamps of Life — Mushrooms2Stamp, Words4Mushrooms, Solids4Mushrooms, and Gnomes2Stamp. The Mushrooms2Stamp stamp set has several adorable mushrooms with sentiments. If you don’t like to color, you can use the Solids4Mushrooms along with your ink pad to get a solid or pattern fill for the adorable mushrooms. The Words4Mushrooms set has several sentiments to go along with the mushroom stamps. The Gnomes2Stamp has three adorable gnomes and for this card, I used one of them.

I made a shadow box using these sets.

Ocean Themed Pop Up Box Card

Ocean Pop Up CardHello! Today I’m featuring an ocean-themed pop up box card that I made for my son’s birthday.  He will be 11 on June 11. I used the brand new stamp set from The Stamps of Life which just came out this month called Dolphins2Stamp. It was perfect for my ocean-themed card! My son is taking scuba diving lessons with his dad so I thought that an ocean-themed birthday card would be a perfect fit!

The Stamps of Life Fan Group Weekly Challenge – Flowers – Card 5

Hello!

I was asked by Kristin Bost, a design team member for The Stamps of Life, to host a weekly challenge in The Stamps of Life Facebook Fan Group. Of course, I said yes. I just love the stamps and dies from The Stamps of Life. I’ve been a member of their Die Hard Club for two years and just recently joined the Card Kit Club. More information about their Kit clubs can be found here – https://www.thestampsoflife.com/club.htm.

The theme for the weekly challenge is flowers. The only rule is to use products from The Stamps of Life….easy peasy!!

I made six cards and will be posting them on separate blog posts. Each card also has a You Tube process video which I will link in the blog post.

Card 5 – Flowers Box Card

For this card, my color inspiration was the patterned paper. I incorporated the same colors for the flowers that are in the patterned paper. I wanted to use both large and small flowers and think I accomplished just that.

Gift Box Card

Gift Fold-It with Box-it Die_Front

Hello!

Today on my blog I am sharing another box card that I made using dies from The Stamps of Life.  Once again, I made this as a birthday gift that I needed to have ready quickly so I couldn’t find a better way to present a card and gift card so easily and uniquely.

For this project, I used the Sizzix Gift Fold-it by Stephanie Barnard at The Stamps of Life (Sizzix #661844). First, I used the die to make a fold-it card. The fold-it card is my front piece. The recipient can open the card to see the message.

Next, I used the die to make another gift panel, but this time I did not make it as a card. Instead, I made it as one gift panel. The back is one solid gift panel.

For the box portion in the middle, I used The Stamps of Life Box-It die. To view instructions on how to put this all together, view Stephanie Barnard’s video here: Box-It Die Tutorial.

The “Happy” die cut sentiment is from The Stamps of Life. The die cut comes with  several stamp sentiments that can be used along with it. I chose the “Birthday” stamp and stamped it with Seaglass ink in the inside card panel.

The balloon stamp is from the The Stamps of Life March 2019 card kit and was stamped with Guava ink.

The decorative paper is from the Party Girl 6 x 6 paper pad from Photo Play.

The green paper is Kiwi card stock and the card base is the Ocean card stock from The Stamps of Life.

The red paper and white paper are scrap papers that I had in my stash.

I used double-sided tape to adhere all of the pieces together, added some miniature chocolates, and a gift card to the center. Such a quick and easy way to present a gift!

Cupcake Box Card

Cupcake Fold-It Box-It Side

Hello!

Today on my blog I am sharing some dies by The Stamps of Life.  I needed a quick birthday card and gift and thought this boxed cupcake card would be perfect!

For this project, I used the Sizzix Cupcake Fold-it by Stephanie Barnard at The Stamps of Life (Sizzix #661843). First, I used the die to make a fold-it card. The fold-it card is my front piece. The recipient can open the card to see the message.

Next, I used the die to make another cupcake panel, but this time did not make it as a card. Instead, I made it as one cupcake panel.  The back is one solid cupcake panel.

Cupcake Fold-It Box-It Back

For the box portion in the middle, I used the Stamps of Life Box-It die. To view instructions on how to put this all together, view Stephanie Barnard’s video here: Box-It Die Tutorial.

The “Wish Big” sentiment on the front is from Diamond Press. I purchased this from HSN.com, but unfortunately it is sold it at this time. The paper used for the sentiment is from the Shimmer Pastels Matt Stack from DCWV.

The pink polka dot paper is the from the Party Girl 6 x 6 paper pad from Photo Play.

The yellow paper is the Lemonade card stock from The Stamps of Life. The red paper for the cherry on top is the Strawberry card stock from The Stamps of Life.

The pink and white paper that make up the wrapper for the cupcake are scrap papers that I had in my stash.

The “It’s Your Birthday” sentiment on the inside of the card is from the BananaSplit2Stamp from The Stamps of Life and was stamped in Guava ink.

The yellow gems are Queen and Company’s goosebumps in yellow.

I used double-sided tape to adhere all of the pieces together, added some miniature chocolates, and a gift card to the center. Such a quick and easy way to present a gift!
