Simple Stories Sweet Talk Collection - 37 Cards
6 x 6 Paper Pad, Love, Simple Stories, Valentine's Day

37 Cards | Simple Stories | Sweet Talk Collection

Today I’m sharing 37 cards I made using Simple Stories Sweet Talk Collection. I love this collection. It is perfect for Valentine’s Day, however, it doesn’t necessarily have to be used for Valentine’s Day. You can use when you just want to send a love card. I used the 6 x 8 paper pad, ephemera bits and pieces, journal bits, and puffy stickers.

I have a video on my YouTube channel showing my design process of all of the cards. I also listed each card below along with measurements.

Enjoy!

Cards 14-16

For this card I used a smaller card base. Use an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock.
Cut it down to 4 7/8″ x 7″. Score it at 3 1/2″.
This will give you a card base that measures 3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″.
A2 Card Base (3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″) – White
Red Heart Pattern Paper – 3 3/8″ x 4 3/4″
Dotted Heart Dies – The Stamps of Life
Sampler Dies – The Stamps of Life (for the banners)

The two cards below use a similar layout. I moved the heart layers to the opposite side of the card. For the card on the left, I tilted the hearts. For the card on the right, I adhered the hearts off of the cardstock layer and trimmed them to be the same size as the patterned paper.

Cards 17-20

A2 Card Base (3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″) – White
(See instructions under the previous card for how to cut your card base.)
Cranberry Cardstock (The Stamps of Life) – 3 3/8″ x 4 3/4″
Sprinkles Pattern Paper – 2 3/4″ x 4″ (Stitched Rectangle Die – The Stamps of Life)
Red Heart Pattern Paper – 1″ x 2 3/4″

The cards below were created based on the same layout as above. The only difference is in the size of the strip of paper. I was using scraps so the size of the strip of cardstock varies for the first two cards below. For the third card, I switched the orientation of the card to landscape and included a piece of twine instead of the cardstock strip.

Card 21

A2 Card Base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2″) – Vanilla Cardstock (The Stamps of Life)
Cranberry Cardstock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Cloud Pattern Paper – 3″ x 5 1/4″
Teal Cardstock – 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ – Cut with Wave die from the Whale dies and inked edges with Seaglass ink (The Stamps of Life)

Card 22

A2 Card Base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2″) – Pink
Cloud Pattern Paper – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Stripe Pattern Paper – 2″ x 4″ (mine is shorter on the left side because I used a scrap piece of paper)
Sampler Dies (for banners) – The Stamps of Life

Card 23

A2 Card Base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2″) – White
Cranberry Cardstock (The Stamps of Life) – 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Heart Pattern Paper – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Stripe Pattern Paper – 3/4″ x 4 1/8″

Photo Frame Measurements:
Pink Cardstock – 3″ x 3 1/4″
Red Heart Pattern Paper – 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″
Teal Flower Pattern Paper – cut to 2 3/4″ wide and use hill border to create hillside look. Used the border dies from The Stamps of Life.

Card 24

A2 Card Base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2″) – White
Cranberry Cardstock (The Stamps of Life) – 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Heart Pattern Paper – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Cranberry Cardstock (The Stamps of Life) – 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″
Polka Dot Pattern Paper – 2 3/4″ x 4″

Card 25

Polka Dot Pattern Paper – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″

A2 Card Base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2″) – White
Cranberry Cardstock (The Stamps of Life) – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Heart Pattern Paper – 4″ x 5 1/2″

Red Scalloped Border
Cranberry Cardstock Layer – 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″

Pink Cardstock – 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Heart Pattern Paper – 4 1/8″ H x 4 W
Flower Pattern Paper – 2″ H x 4″W
Ribbon Border Die (The Stamps of Life)

The cards below were created based on the same layout as above. For the card on the left, I used a scrap piece of paper instead of the ribbon border die to separate the pattern paper. The card on the right is a smaller card base (3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″). The top layer is 3 3/8″ x 4 3/4″ and the striped pattern paper is 1 1/4″ x 3 3/8″. The strip of paper measures 5/8″ x 3 3/8″.

  2. Lisa I bought all the things and just finished 23 cards, and could have made more! It was so fun and relaxing I am kind of sorry I am finished. Thanks so much for a fun project and very economical too! I loved the variety and have taken a new look and Stamps of Life, which before I found you I had not really heard of. Las Vegas, NV
